Williford Insurance Group is rooted in the knowledge and experience of our professionals. Each team member has over 10 years of experience in the benefits industry. As a result, clients rest easy knowing their Williford Team possesses the knowledge, ability and experience necessary to navigate the complicated benefits landscape.
Our Management Team
Kevin T. Williford
Kevin founded Williford Insurance Group in 1990 and today focuses on helping mid and large size companies with their employee benefit plans. He assists these clients with both fully-insured and self-funded plans.
Prior to founding Williford, Kevin worked for several years with the Somers-Pardue Agency (now Hub International) in Burlington where he established many lasting client relationships. Prior to his time at Somers-Pardue Kevin worked with Jefferson-Pilot as a service representative in their group health division.
Kevin holds a BS in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.
Michael joined Williford Insurance Group in 1999 and has experience on both the individual and group side of benefits. Michael enjoys interacting with clients and being a benefits problem solver. Today, Michael focuses primarily on helping small and mid-size employers with their benefit plans.
Michael holds a BS in Business Administration from North Carolina State University.
Client Service Team Leaders
Margaret joined Williford Insurance Group in 2007 and works as a relationship manager with our group clients. Margaret helps groups with day to day benefits transactions as well as keeping group contacts informed on the latest benefit news and trends.
Prior to joining Williford, Margaret worked at United Healthcare as an Account Consultant where she assisted groups and brokers with their United Healthcare plans. Prior to her time at United Healthcare Margaret worked with Gallagher Benefits in Charlotte as an Account Manager.
Margaret holds a BA in English from University of Richmond
Individual Products Coordinator
Dana joined Williford Insurance in 2013 and works as our Individual Products Coordinator. Dana heads up our individual team that assists clients with individual medical, Medicare and dental insurance policies.
Prior to joining Williford Dana worked at Penn-Western Benefits, a Third Party Administrator, for 15 years. At Penn-Western Dana was a service coordinator for 9 years and worked in administration the previous 6 years.
Cathy joined Williford Insurance in 2014 and works as a technical analyst for our group clients. Cathy assists with bidding and analysis of group plans, along with handling service issues for our clients.
Prior to joining Williford Cathy worked at Penn-Western Benefits, a Third Party Administrator, for 24 years. During this tenure Cathy worked in both group administration and enrollment, helping group clients with their day to day needs.
